I'm researching this branch for a friend from down under
I've sent off for Henry's birth cert to confirm if his
mother was Mary Winter,reason I think she's a Winter is that on the
1851 census Harriet Winter 20 is living as a lodger with James & Mary
and on the 1871 census Joseph Winter 72 is a lodger with Mary.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

You will find the marriage between James Baldwin & Mary Ann Winter on the parish records of this site, it took place in the Church Of The Holy Trinity, Drybrook (The Forest Church) on 4.11.1849 Mary Ann's father Joseph a Lathe Cleaner and Witness 1: William Baldwin Witness 2: Hannah Baldwin. James Baldwin's parents were William Baldwin & Hannah who had 11 children.
James Baldwin baptised 5.8.1821 would be my 2nd cousin 5 times removed

I've just recieved Henry's Birth cert which confirms his mother was
Mary Ann Winter and his father was James son of William & Hannah Baldwin
which would make William 4xg/g to my friend Eric Wellington who's ancestors
also were born in the Forest.Jim. Any information you could pass on to me
re William & Hannah would be most appreciated.
