I am searching for any information regarding William Priday who was the birth father of my Gt Grandfather William Jones born abt 1848.

Not found the death of Richard. Would have been between 1844 and 1847. Baptism record for Maynard states he is illegitimate son.

This William went to America around 1849,His parents also went to America in1850 His mother Elizabeth and Sister Catherine were drowned. When Paddle Steamer Griffith caught fire and sank on Lake Erie on the 15 june 1850, also many other family members perished. Williams father Henry survived.
