Emmeline Annie WHITE (General)
Hi,
Trying to find info on Emmeline Annie White c1876.The only info I have is that she married Richard Webb at St Stephens,Cinderford in 1901.They had 2 children Hubert Thomas 1903 & Iris Kathleen 1904-1993(my wife's aunt).According to the Parish Records Emmeline's father was Thomas White.I can't find Emmeline's birth date or her mother.I can find a Annie White with a Thomas White in the census but she looks to be too old,but as we know ages change a lot in each census.Hubert Webb 1903 was christened in Drybrook, but I can't find Iris's christening.Richard Webb was in the Police so maybe moved around. If someone could help with the White surname as my wife's Whites came from Slimbridge and I'm trying to see if there is a connection between the Whites.
Regards
Jim

Iris Kathleen WEBB 1904
Thank you for the replies, Slowhands.
Been through births from 1860-1880 and no sign of Emmeline.I have Iris's autograph book and a poem was entered on the 21/06/1921 by Emmeline Annie Webb.I have Iris's wedding photo and there is a man I believe to be Richard Webb I know the other people on there,so I guessed that Emmeline was not alive.I checked the deaths from 1921 and found a Emmeline Annie Webb died July 1/4 1929 aged 50 in Cheltenham.Iris & her brother lived in Cheltenham so I take it thats her. So I checked 1877-1881 for her birth with no luck.I have a lot of Iris's paperwork but only her marriage certificate.Sadly Iris son died in 1939 aged 8 years so there is no family that close.I'll get on to my wife's cousin to see if he can help.
Regards
Jim
Emmeline Annie White 1874
The only one I could find on FreeBMD was this one:
WHITE Emmelina Annie September 1874 LINCOLN Vol 7a Page 496
If the family were voreigners, it might explain why they married in the Groom's parish?
Emmeline Annie White 1874
I'm she marries a Cecil and ends up in London in 1901...
