Portrait of my great grandfather William Robins. He was born on the 25th June
1860 and died on the 29 May 1937. he was one of 6 children born to James Robins
and Sarah Heath. He also had a half brother from Sarahs first marriage.
William married Mary Elizabeth Ann Hickman at St Dunstans in London on the 18
August 1884. They had six children.

He ran the butchers shop in Aylburton until his death in 1937, then my
grandmother Charlotte Clark(Robins) and my Grandfather Albert took over the
business until my gran passed away in 1966. The family then gave up the business.

Joan died the following year from diptheria and in 1924 the family emigrated to New Zealand.

Thank you for filling in so many gaps in my searches with your reply. My father (Astley Martin) often mentioned about butchers and grocers shops in Cinderford connected to the family business in early 1900s. If anyone has information to confirm this and location, it would be greatly appreciated.
