Can any one tell me where I would be able to find out more information regarding this accident.
The death certificate says 12 Oct 1837 George Hurcomb of Beachley in the parish of Tidenham about 49 years of age occupation Officer of Customs accidentally drowned in the River Severn near to the entrance of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal.
Would be most gratefully for any information how little.
