Dear Richard
Have just seen your 2011 bit on the Forum. You may have got a lot of this now but I have parents of Rosehannah Phillips b 1826 as William Phillips 1796 – 1873 and Jane Herbert 1796-1881 and William's parents as Richard Phillips 1766-1844 and Mary Pickering 1766-1838. I have a lot more detail on Phillips if you want it which is my main line of interest including all of Rosehannah Phillips siblings.

I notice Thomas Warr was a widower when he married Rosehannah. I haven't found his first marriage yet - have you?

William John Davies was my great grandfather. His wife's name was Rose, nee Warr. The couple had two sons -- my grandfather, Willam Oswald Davies, and Stuart Davies. I know, from information provided by family members in the UK that the Davies family was living in Lydbrook in the early 1900s. I have been told that William John Davies was "from the Forest of Dean, Lydbrook area". I have also been told that his two sons were "born and grew up" in the area. A search of various birth, marriage and death records has drawn a blank.
I assume (based on the scant family info I have) that William John Davies was born in the area c1875. I also know that Rose Davies, nee Warr (my great grandmother) died c1960, at the age of 96.
This, essentially, is all I know about my ancestors. I would greatly appreciate any information or help on the above names that forum members are able to provide.
