We have tried to contact you via the sungreen web site. I think we are related too as my grandmother was Kyziah Hinton, Kate's sister - they seem to have mis-spelt her name as Haziah. I can confirm Kyziah is definitely the correct spelling. Kyziah married William Shadrack Tippins in WW1 and he died in action in 1916. She then married Arthur H Corbett, and I am their grandson.

My great great grandfather was the same man. I am the grandson of Kyziah Hinton who married William Shadrack Tippins, and then my grandfather A H Corbett. Kyziah's first husband William was killed in action in France, WW1 1916.

Looking to locate detailed employment records for Charles Hinton; when he was a minor in the 1861 Census living in at Coalway Lane Coleford. Trying to verify the birth information shown in the 1861 and early 1851 census that states he was born in Lyme Dorestshire around 1835. However, to date no birth records have been found to back this information up. Hoping there are detailed mine employment records available for the Forest of Dean mines that I am may be able to gain more information on my G.G. Grandfather.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I wonder if we have a connection? I have a copy of the marriage of Charles Hinton and Henrietta Roberts on 9th April 1859 he aged 24 and she 22.He is shown as a pitsinker and his father as Thomas Hinton a labourer. I believe they were my great great grandparents. One of their sons (another Charles) married Rhoda Cutler on 5th April 1884. I believe they had numerous children(could be 9) one of whom was my grandmother, Kate Hinton.
Have you found www.sungreen.co.uk? Click on Coleford and there are some super old photos of the Hintons including Charles!Do you know the names of your grandparents siblings? I have the following for Kate - Charles,Tom,Alfred,Haziah,Rosea,Annie,Henry (may have been known as Harry.) Found these on the 1901 census.

Thank you m p griffiths. That is probably my tree or one of the others that have been sharing information on ancestry. I have found numerous census records that state he was born in Dorestshire and one that actually states the town as Lyme. Also gusing that is Lyme - Regis.

However the date of birth on the different census vary by a couple of years, which could either be record erroes at the time of taking the census or the fact that he did not know his actual birth date.

I have found records post 1859(marriage record) but I have not identified him or his parents and siblings in the 1841 or 1851 census records. Also I have been unable to find a birth record that I know to be his, and I only believe his father is named Thomas.

Hence I am looking for anyone that can identify where he was at the time of the 1841 & 1851 census and can confirm his date of birth and parentage.

I am hoping his marriage certificate, when I receive it, will help to identify his actual date of birth and possible parents.

This tree is on Ancestry, and lists Charles (born Dorset, one census he says Dorsetshire, Lime, assume Lyme Regis) as father - Thomas, mother unknown.

My Great Great Grandfather Charles HINTON married Herietta ROBERTS in 1859 Glousteshire. However I do not know when he came to the Forest of Dean or what his true birth date was a numerous census records show a variation between 1834-1836.
I have ordered a copy of their marriage certificate, but if anyone knows of any other information about Charles HINTON and his hertiage I would appreciate the help. Also trying to find photo's of Charles HINTON , Henrietta ROBERTS or any of their children.
If you are able to assist I would appreciate it.
