Good question - I've just looked as have a few Barnards in my various tree, but sofar cannot see this one, or any matching "Robert Barnard" birth in Glos/Herefds/Mons using FreeBMD. Similarly no likely candidates from all 91 Barnard PRs in the FoD database from 1912 - 1962, actually I'm surprised how few Roberts there are there ?

Ah well.

out of 193 BARNARDs in my database I don't have even one Robert Barnard!!!

Yes, there is just one: a Robert BARNARD in the Form 1 photo.

I had a look anyway and there is no Dennis Victor SAUNDERS in the photographs.

sorry, I'm a tad confused (nothing new there haha).

If you mean with respect to the EDGS photos, then you need to be asking Mike Pinchin not me. That said, in your last post you said your father Dennis played rugby for Lydney Grammar School, which to me suggests he wasn't at East Dean Grammar at Cinderford ?

Wow great find Mike, thanks for sharing this with us.
Sadly this was before my mum's time at EDGS, in fact coincidentally 1932 was the year she was born.

Whilst trawling the BNA for something entirely unconnected I came across a set of 1932 group photographs in the Gloucester Journal , Saturday 19 November 1932, of all the students at East Dean Grammar School. I know that similar photographs are available on the Sungreen site, and perhaps elsewhere, but these ones have every student named in the accompanying captions. If anyone has any interest I can easily search for specific names.
