this is Durham Pearce from New Zealand.
I am looking for information on Rose Pearce 1781. She was my great great great great grand mother and was a housekeeper in Berkeley which is near Dursley.
Any information would be greatly appreciated as this is where my family line has a twist.
We are not sure but it looks like she fell pregnant to someone at her work residence and was a "kept woman". this is all hearsay and I would appreciate any info if any you may have. my email below is a great way to touch base if you choose to.

He was born in Breadstone/Berkeley in 1823. I have found him on the 1851 census in Whitecroft married to Susannah Baker. Family lore has him 'bought up in Wales' but I think probably the Forest of Dean was considered Wales because it was across the river Severn. He was not living with his mother Rose as she was working as a housekeeper in Dursley.
