My Grandfathers Bakers Shop taken about 1923 just before he retired in 1924

Alfred Jones, my grandfather standing in the doorway, Alfred Stanley Jones (with arm in a
sling) his son, a friend (not known standing on the other side of the doorway, and to the
left is Cecil Frank Jones his son, with their housekeeper (name unknown)

The shop is in Gloucester Road and is still much as it was in the picture, except it is
now split in two - a DVD rental shop and a Dog Grooming Parlour.

My Grandfather Alfred Roberts also known as Pat Roberts (1888-1947)
out Charcoal burning in the Forest who lived at Plump Hill

His brother Edward Arthur (Ted) who it is sometimes claimed was
the last charcoal burner in the Forest

already in the Gallery, the others in the Photo are thier children & spouse's. Alfred Wall
is Grandad's Nephew. We don't know why Grandad is not in the picture, there is another son
Joseph Henry, but he is taking the photo.
