HORTON & WHITTINGTON families - Pauntley Stauton areas (reply)

Perhaps 'The Whittington Story' by Michael Whittington, published by the author in 1988 would be of interest to you. There are a few early Whittington wills on TNA
website. Pauntley Court has the blue plaque as the birth place of Richard Whittington.

HORTON & WHITTINGTON families - Pauntley Staunton (Newent) (reply)

Good afternoon David,
I see you've posted on this subject in the past, I'm unsure what more can be unearthed unless other members have more info ?.
http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?id=28601

Did you know that both this site's huge Parish Records database and this Forum can be quickly & easily searched free-of-charge via the top blue toolbar.
For Horton I suggest you search largely under following Parishes, "Pauntley" & "Staunton nr Newent", plus nearby Linton, Redmarley etc. That said there are only 125 Horton PRs on the whole site; the oldest being mid C16th.
In contrast there are 700+ Whittington PRs on the whole site to consider, but only a few are from the above areas, plus adjoining Churcham, Hasfield, Tirley, Taynton etc. Again the oldest are mid C16th.
Good luck.
