Then FOD records have baptism at Whitchurch (about a mile away) of a William PRITCHARD 7 August 1799 - parents Daniel & Ann

On the odd occasion, the child's name was incorrectly recorded - and the father's name written down instead. This did occur in my family tree - and the Chief Archivist at the Gloucester Records Office, said this did happen from time to time.

I'm researching my Pritchard line and can't seem
To go any further back than 1803!

David Pritchard (my great x5 grandfather) was born
in 1803 and according to census was born in Whitchurch.....
However there is no parish records confirming this!

I know he married a Mary Byard in 1832 at newland.... His residence
Was hundred of St Briavels.... They lived in East dean together and had children.
He died in 1879.

I'm stuck because I can find any information that he had siblings or who his parents
Were?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated x
