Hi,wonder if anyone can help me please?I am trying to find the parents of Edward Worgan,my g.g.grandfather.I have the names John Worgan and Elizabeth as possibles.Edward was born about 1837 in WestDean and married an Ellen Tippens.
I would also like info on Ellen Tippens family please,I have her birth date at around 1841,also WestDean.

Hi mpgriffiths,just wanted to thank you for the information I've found in your message to someone else.I recently started to research the Worgans as Amos Worgan and Caroline Andrews were my great granparents.I got a bit stuck with Amos's parents because I thought he was born in Wales.Once I discovered that he was actually born in West Dean,I looked on FOD site and found his parents were Edward Worgan and Ellen Tippins.The info you gave fits in with the dates I have and the fact that I couldn't find a marriage for them!If you have any other details on them I would be grateful if you would let me know,or if you think I may be able to help you.Thanks,jan115

I have recently started researching the Worgan family who lived in the Pillowell / Lydney areas and would be grateful for any info on the following people especially Thomas Worgan who is my 2nd great Grandfather. I believe they moved to Wigan / Hindley areas in Lancashire during the 1880's.
