<p>Edwin Edward ELSMORE was Joseph ELSMORE's younger son and the photo was taken in<br />
Market Place, Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand not long before both their deaths.</p>

<p>Today while searching the net for information I came across a recent photo of the <strong>Coleford Baptist Church</strong> which I recognised as being the same as our <strong>Unknown Chapel</strong>.</p>

<title>Ruardean Hill Baptist Church 2007 (reply)</title>

<p>The railing and gates of the church were made by my grandfather, George Williams who was a local blacksmith and deacon of the church for many years.</p>
<p>The church was founded in 1854 by Joseph Mountjoy - a butcher from Cinderford.</p>

<p>Charles was the second son of Mr Albert Adams, of Lower Ruspidge<br />
He was a fireman at Lightmoor Collier and joined up at the age of 22 in June 1915<br />
His elder brother James was also missing in action at the Dardenelles in 1915 <br />
He is remembered on Helles Memorial on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey.</p>
