<p>Otherwise the answer is just going to be a stab in the dark. Probably the worst thing you can say is &quot;looking for any information on William Jones&quot;. <span class="underline">What information? - Be specific</span> </p>
<p>If you are trying to find when and where a person married or the name of the parents, then make it clear that you are seeking that information.</p>
<p>It is frustrating for a respondent to spend a lot of time gathering and posting information about a query,  then the original questioner, replies with &quot;I already have that information&quot;.</p>
