Can anyone help me find the birth of John Charles Wilkes about 1848 in the Forest of Dean? He was the son of William Wilkes, a farmer. His second marriage was to Emily Rebecca Hughes in North Harborne, Staffs in 1879.
His birth is not in the Register General indexes nor at the Gloucestershire Record Office. I have also searched this site without any luck. I would be grateful for any suggestions as I live in Australia and am limited in where I can look.
