Mark Shakell (Shakles/Shakells) was my great-grandmother's younger brother. My g-grandmother was Mira/Myra Shakell (1848 - 1889). Myra married Thomas Jones (my g-grandfather). Mark married Elizabeth Jones - no relation as far as I can tell. When Myra died her sister, Sarah became Thomas' 'housekeeper'.

Myra and Mark were among the 10 children of James Shakell (1819 - 1900) and Ann Moore (1823 - 1895)
