I have only checked the Australian records so far for Herbert Campbell.

He was 33 when he married on 8 Dec 1886 and 42 when he died on 12 Sept 1896

I have not been able to find any immigration records either for the time frame of around 1882. His 1896 death certificate claims that he was in Australia for 14 years, 1 in South Australia and 13 in NSW

He named his only son, John Herbert Campbell who was born in Sydney in 1888
