James WHITE (General)
I recently received the following information about a mining fatality which I believe refers to my GGgrandfather;
WHITE James, 17/09/1851, , Collier, Bush, Peter Teague, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Fall of coal.
FreeBMD also lists the death in the March Quarter of 1852.
Is this accident likely to have been reported in local newspapers at the time?
I have been unable to find the family of James, wife Mary and son James aged about 2 years in the on-line 1851 census, West Dean area, and am not sure where to go from here.
Thank you,
Averil Cave.
