look up 1920 US census (William Baker from Coleford) (General)

by May @, Tuesday, September 27, 2005, 20:04 (7003 days ago)

I would appreciate another look up for this family if it's possible please.

Details to find the entry are:-

Horace R Baker born England 1900 ?(city), Wayne, Michigan
I hope to find other siblings on the actual entry. They emigrated 1919.

I believe his father (William John Baker) is listed in the same place but the spelling is shown as uncertain.

Horace R Baker born England 1900 ?(city), Wayne, Michigan

The "entry" appears to show a Canadian Boarder - no parents at address - born of a Canadian father and American Mother, arriving in 1910

Thanks Slowhands,

I thought you might like to know the outcome of this enquiry.

The Horace Baker you found on the 1920 census was the boarder. His parents (only) had gone on to the US by the 1930 census. I have now found a copy of the father's obituary in the local (USA) newspaper and it confirms all the details of the family and I have written (snailmail) to the grandson.

Thanks for your help
kind regards,
May
