Regarding the 1851 & 1861 census -- The listing for Henry Gammage, Head of Household and Tryphena, Wife -- These are my great-great-great grandparents. Their son, listed as Dodatus Richard C in the 1851 census and as Desittus R. in the 1861 census is my great-great grandfather.

David Carr Gammage encouraged my g-g grandfather (Deodatus Richard Carr Gammage) to bring his family to the USA and they brought along their widowed father, Henry, in 1881 from what I can gather.

I notice that Edwin is listed as Edwin T. and later as Edwin J. --must be the way the script was read by the transcibers or perhaps the way it was written by the enumerators.

I am in contact with a descendant of Albert Walter Gammage who reside in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
