Hi I wonder if anyone out there could help? Does anyone know if there were any illnesses/epidemics in the Forest area during the early 1860s.

Hello Tina
My gtgt grandfather died in February 1866 of typhoid fever and I know his son also died in the same quarter of that year. This was at Lane End, West Dean.

That could well explain 3 or more of my ancestors all "disappearing" in the same year.
