Kia ora from New Zealand

John Jones and Elizabeth Pinder were my great-great grandparents and I'm descended from their daughter Sarah Ann Jones who married Benjamin Thomas Addis in 1876 at Hereford and emigrated to New Zealand in 1879.

From information off certified copy of marriage entry of John JONES to Elizabeth PINDER Year 1850 October-December Quarter Ross District Vol 26 Page 379 Entry No 152.

On 6th October 1850 at Ruxton Chapel in the District of Ross in the County of Herefordshire the marriage took place according to the rites and ceremonies of the Protestant Dissenters between John Jones, age 22, bachelor and Elizabeth Pinder, age 22, spinster. John was a tinman residing at Ruardean, Gloucestershire, the son of William Jones, also a tinman. Elizabeth was a dress maker residing at Walford, Herefordshire, the daughter of William Pinder, a soldier. The marriage was performed by John Jones and witnessed by William (looks like) Oawthorn and Sarah Oawthorn.

Cheers.
