I'm now locating the female branches

slowhands you located the following

1871
Emily Ireland abt 1861 Cannoss West Dean, Gloucestershire, England Daughter West Dean Gloucestershire

1881 ?
Emily J. Ireland abt 1851 Gloucestershire, England Servant Wyesham House, Dixton Hadnock, Monmouthshire, Wales

And I think there is a possibility they are cousins or they could still be the same person
both John IRELAND and his brother Benjamin IRELAND of Stroud married and each had a daughter called Emily Jane, approximate dates are 1851 and 1861 and Benjamin lived at Cannop

EDIT I think I've found Johns daughter on the census 1881 as Emily Davis at home with her parents...... doh
