Hale family of Nailbridge / Ruardean (General)
I am interested in the Hale family of Nailbridge / Ruardean, i have loads of information, but can only get back as far as Aaron Hale from Ruardean born in 1670.
Cornelius Hale born in 1800 moved to Nailbridge to set up a Blacksmiths shop in 1830s which is still entact today, my great grandfather Frederick Hale and his brother Leslie set up a sawmils on the same site, in about 1913 and later it diversified into a Builder's Merchants and is still in extisentce today as Hale and Co.

Hi Sam
I am also descended from Aaron Hale born Ruardean 1670, died 1727. he married Elizabeth Jordan in 1695 and IGI gives his father as Isaac Hale but I have not yet found Isaac. How does your Cornelius descend from Aaron? I am descended from Aaron's son John.

Hi, yes i have also heard that issac was Aaron's father, i have a copy of Aaron's will, with mention to his wife and sister
The line for cornelius goes down from Aaron's son issac, from issac and sarah's son thomas, from thomas and margaret's son joseph. He was joesph and janes son.
from cornelius i am decended from his son george, from his son john, from his son frederick, from his son roderick (my grandfather) from his son leslie (my father).

Hello Sam
Among all the information you have collected on the Hales have you any relating to Hannah Hale who married John Abrahall at English Bicknor on 21st October 1781. I think she would have probably been in her early twenties and there are a couple of possibilities on the IGI but it would be helpful to make a more definite link.

Hello Sam
Thanks for your reply. The Hannah you mention is the most likely one of my possibles. I'll just have to keep on digging. Thanks again.
