George Lewis of Lydney or Saul (1818-1843) (General)
Bertha
Thanks for you rapid reponse.Yes I am aware of this family of John Lewis and his son George. On the 1851 Census for Lydney, this family is still living in Lydney, with John listed as a 'Gardener'.In 1871 it looks as though the son George had taken over the business and was listed as a 'Gardener' at 1 High Street in Lydney.
My George Lewis had moved to Heath Town in the 1851 Census for Wolverhampton after marrying Caroline Beard at Kidderminster Parish Church in 1843.His trade was Tin Roller.
I would be interested in knowing if the 2 families are in any way linked?
