Audrey Higgs of Woolaston
Taken 1941

This picture shows my aunt, Audrey Higgs of Woolaston, in uniform. The gentleman is Fred Rogers,
her uncle by marriage to Ethel Butt. He was a Canadian, serving in WW2. The reverse of the photo
has a personal message to my aunt, including the following words: "should I be called.. during this
present conflict... you may consider that I did so gladly in your defence'. Happily Fred survived
and returned to his family (in Ontario) after the war.
