Today, I have to complete my Census form and the details I write down will be
publicly available after 99 years.

Will some person be waiting for this day which is 99 years in the future so they
can get my details to help them with their genealogical research? - Probably
not, consider how the world has changed in the past 99 years. Would our
ancestors who were alive then have ever envisaged in their wildest dreams of how
life is today!

Will it be that all one will have to do is type their name, press a button and
instantly all their ancestors names and details will be retrieved from
one master genealogical database!

Your point is well taken.
Here in the US our census is open after 72 years. Out of curiosity I made a point of going to the archives in 2002 to see my own name on that 1930 census as a three year old. Did"nt learn anything, but still got a small thrill. Since life expectancy in 2106 will be over 100 years, some of your small present neighbors may do the same.
