Glass making in the Forest of Dean (General)

You've got a famous Forest name there. Samuel Hewlett something like 1780 - 1850's was originally a carpenter, then blacksmith, then made iron castings for rails and ended up a railway company director. My memory is a bit hazy as this line of research was a long time ago. He had a house, Bradley House, just down the road from Soudley going towards Blakeney. It's still there.

There is a book by Cyril Hart. Industrial History of Dean. Glass making is probably included. The windows on my GGrandfathers house on Bradley Hill are probably local. Although built 1870, they are slightly tinged green and are not flat. Poured molten glass into a mould?
