Sadly my father Harold IRELAND passed away suddenly on 16th August although he had been ill for several months his death was unexpected.

On his behalf I'd like to thank everyone on this site for all the help you gave in our research. His tales of Forest Life throughout my life gave me a sense of belonging to the forest, and was later to rekindle such an interest that the search for our roots began. It has been a lovely journey of discovery for us both through the bad times in his ill health, and along with buying him a massive library of Forest books off ebay, this has kept him going, something to help him through the loneliness after his wife died a year ago.

So please keep up the good work you all do, you truly do reachout and help others
