St. James in the Parish of St. Michael (General)
I have a marriage certificate for Aaron Simmonds and Mary Franklin (nee James) who were married on the 16 January 1862 at The church of St. James in the Parish of St. Michael, Gloucester, can anyone tell me where to find this church and parish. Simmonds/Symonds was my grandmothers name and the family came from the Forest of Dean.

St. James Church, Upton St., opposite Clement St. Opened in 1841 as a chapel-at-ease of St. Michael's parish. The architect was Samuel Kempthorne. Lower Barton Ward 1902.
