Hi I am looking for my ancestor Joseph Lewis, he was convicted in 1829 of Larceny ? And sentences to 7 years transportation to Australia.
I have little information other than he was sentenced in the Gloucester Assizes. He was a Protestant. 19. Years of age when he was sentenced. One piece of information I have found he may be son of William and Alice Lewis of Parish Coaley, born 25th May 1809.
I am in Wales at the moment and would appreciate any help we can get to fnd his ancestors.
