Sycamore cottage Staunton 1880's (General)

Can anyone tell me where Sycamore cottage was in Staunton at the end of the 19C and does it still exist. The Morgan's lived there. Also did the old post office opposite the White Horse pub ever have another name. Can anyone help?

This map, surveyed 1878-80, shows a building close to the White Horse as a smithy, and the Post Office elsewhere in Staunton.

In 1900 the Post Office is in the same place.

By 1920 the Post Office seems to be a building opposite the old smithy.

By 1943 the old smithy building is marked as the Post Office

I guess that there’s a decent chance that James CARVER from your query about the White House (Horse) might have been the smith in 1881.

These are nice maps. Thank you. It is a shame that they did not name all houses in the village.
