Richard Tummey/Toomey ....Sheep Stealing (General)

Can anyone point me in the right direction please ?
Richard Tummey/Toomey was convicted at the 1786 Gloucester Assizes for the capital offence of sheep stealing. This was reprieved to seven years transportation. As this date was before transportation to New South Wales, I assume he went to USA or the West Indies. Are there records available covering transportation of convicts to these countries ?
I am also trying to find a record of his trial, hoping to see where he might have lived.
There were two Richard Toomey/Tummey who lived in Churcham around this time and i need to see if there is a connection.
I know one of them was still living in Birdwood in 1802 but the other seems to have disappeared.
Thank you
Sid Toomey
