Hi Pete,
don't know what surname you're searching, but my few guesses didn't find anything either, altho it's produced some hits for 1910 Marriages and Burials, sorry.
??

On a similar score, can someone please advise if the GlosBMD site is u/s for all users, or is it just me and my dodgy old pc ?. I've never had any problems with it before except this weekend, but now it's producing no hits whatsoever.
http://ww3.gloucestershire.gov.uk/bmd/SimpleSearch.aspx

Last week I had no problems using the Glos Archives site in general, altho it did and still does carry this notice "We're aware that some people are having intermittent problems accessing our online catalogue."

I don't know whether the GlosBMD site and Glos online catalogue share the same servers etc.

Thanks Jeff

It appears that there are no Woolaston baptisms in the database after 1900, although I have a transcript up to 1931. I will talk to Mike G about this and get the database updated, but in the meantime if you have a specific question I will be happy to help.

Hi Jeff,

GlosBMD works OK for me. Just tested it out and it produced what I expected.

Hi Mike, thanks for that. All rather odd, still gives zero returns for any enquiry I send, which is clearly wrong. I'll try later from my laptop, maybe it's another instance of a website only working for a user with the "right" combination of browser, platform and all these other electricocious things they now have to cater for ?. As an oldfashioned person who doesn't use smartphones or tablets, it was only recently I realised just how much of a techno-minefield it must be for IT admin types maintaining their websites across the myriad of user "aps" etc, good luck to em !!

Thanks again Jeff.

First of all our thanks for bringing this to our notice and secondly I am pleased to say that the Baptisms up to 1925 for Woolaston have now been uploaded.
We are conducting a restructure and audit of the databases to ensure all transcripts have been uploaded. It is a slow tedious process and where we find any missing entries we will remedy.

Hi All,

Thanks for all your help.

I have found the baptism on Ancestry, but like to cross check in here as I find this site more user friendly.

The Woolaston baptisms are already proving useful, and have now given me another person I never knew existed.

Thanks again.

Pete .
