Cinderford LEIGHTON - St Johns Church (General)
Well, my first day using this facility, and another part of the jigsaw fitted together. As you can see from the details of Samuel's marriage above he was a widower when he married. I knew that he had been married previously to an Elizabeth Williams, but could find no proof that the two wives were sisters.
Just a few minutes looking around here, and I found his other marriage, showing Elizabeth and Margaret's father was one and the same. I can see me coming in here on a regular basis.
What I really would like to locate is the baptism of James Layton (Leyton, Leighton, Layghton, Laiten) born in Pauntley in 1823, so I can figure out which Thomas was his father.
Thank you slowhands.
Fay
