How would I go about accessing old school records from approx 1901 -1910.
I am researching an Alice Adams who in 1901 was an assistant school teacher, living at Viney Woodside.

A while ago since you posted this message so you may already have this information:
Alice Adams was my Great Grandfather Woodman Adams sister, I have just been reading through the family history and have come across the will of Dinah Llewellyn, previously Adams, nee Welch. I'm not sure when but Alice married a 'Smith' and moved to New York with her husband (nfi). She had two daughters, Constance Smith and Edna Marion Smith, both mentioned in my Great Great Grandmothers will which was proved at Gloucester on 28 April 1930. Happy to provide further information about the family if required.

I contacted the poster offline a while ago regarding this but thought I would add it here - Timothy was my Grand Uncle, they brought the girls home to be christened 22 Sep 1922 at Viney Hill. Constance remembered her Grandfather Levi Smith as a lovely man with a sovereign in his pocket!
Timothy was a detective with the railway police and was killed in 1st February 1918 whilst crossing a line between trucks - they moved and he was crushed. I have a copy of the poignant letter that Alice wrote home to one of his sisters.
The family stayed in America.
