Newnham Petty Sessions, Monday.
Stealing Potatoes.— George Virgo, of the parish of Awre, gardener, was brought up in custody, charged with having on Monday, the 6th inst., at the Oaklands Park, stolen a quantity of potatoes and a glass bottle, the property of Henry Crawshay, Esq. Mr. Crawshay deposed that on Sunday he was walking in his park, when he saw Virgo, who is his under-gardener, and has been employed by him from a boy going across the park in the direction of his house …………………………………………..
