Mark - I have many STEEL/E's in the Forest, but none so far in Westbury. Mine were in Coleford, Littledean and Ruardean. Were any of yours there?

hi david,
thanks for the reply. The information I had this from was from the IGI (Latter-day Saints).Richard steel married a Mary Jackson in Hereford in 1746. He stated that he was a copper and ironmonger working from Ross on Wye, on the marriage licence. His sons were Samuel b.1747 and Thomas b.1748 ,so the names have pasted down!
Are any of your Steele"s copper or ships carpenters?

Hi again David,
I have just looked on a map as to were your steel"s are from and it seems that Littledean is only about 2-3 miles from Westbury on severn
and about a mile to Flexley were Samuel b.1734 was born.
What are the names and dates of your relations?
John and Mary were the parents,do you think Jonh was a brother of any of yours?
