The Aubreys of Aston Ingham and Linton/Gorsley (General)

Years ago I did a huge amount of work on my Aubrey/Awbrey family history but was never able to get back further than the marriage of Edward to Mary Read (born Weston under Penyard 1705) at Lea Church on 17th October 1729. Does anyone have connections that might help me? The more famous Aubreys of Herefordshire, who can be traced back to the Norman invasion of Wales, married into the Rudhall Family (Rudhall Manor between Ross and Brampton Abbots) and would have been around at the end of the 17th century and I think one of them was vicar at Brampton Abbots. It would be nice to complete that connection but of course it might have been an illegitimate one!!
