BIBEY family - prior threads (reply)

Thanks, it looks as though this could link in with my family, as a couple of the names are familiar. Just got back from a weeekend away so haven't as yet had chance to get my head around the dates. As a bit of a fhs rookie I hadn't thought to investigate the threads. The site has been fantastic as have the helpful replies from members!

BIBEY family

I have come across the name BIBEY in my research, someone who I believe was the father to one of my ancestors but who I can't quite fit into the jigsaw. The dates would be late 1700s, early 1800s in the West Dean area. There are a number of different spellings of this name, BIBEE, BIBY, BIBBY. Any help with this would be great. His daughter was re-married in 1860 at the age of 44. She married James Thompson and gives her name as Eliza/beth Shellard.
