Yes I am descended from the Elizabeth who married John Beard via their daughter Ann. The family moved to Cookley in Worcs from Newland. I didnt know about the other Mary - did she die young? they had another daughter called Mary b 1848 (or I have seriously got the wrong family!)Most of the Beard family ended up in Wolverhampton

I have William Knights parents as Richard and Ann but havent been able to trace them back any further although I have found several of his siblings. I have Esthers parents as John and Nancy Morgan but I am stuck with those as well

I am very interested in this particular Knight family, are we talking about Giles Knight christened 29/04/1810 and Elizabeth Knight chr 30/04/1797 all at Newland. Elizabeth Knight married a John Beard and they had to my knowledge a daughter Mary chr 12/04/1818 again at Newland Glos.

I desparately need a break with this Knight family especially with regard to the parents of Giles & Elizabeth i.e. William Knight born 1766 and his wife Esther Morgan born 1767.

If this information is correct would love to talk with you on the telephone at my expense.....we have a great deal in common.

I too am trying to find the Knight family. Charles father Giles was the brother of my GGGGrandmother Elizabeth

I cant find any of the family after 1891 either although I have found Mary jnr now from the information on this board. Giles jnrs middle name was Martin from his mothers maiden name but I cant find any trace of him or the others

I do have information on Giles snr, Elizabeth and their parents if your interested
