Hi Emily

I have had e.mails from Gordon Williams who says you and I are related. Who was your mother and grandmother, were they Thorns or was it on your Father's side.
My grandmother was Emily Thorn and she had three sisters, Louisa, Clara, and Charlotte. Hiram Thorn was her father and my mother was born on the Tufts at Bream. My Great Aunt Lou (louisa) lived on the Chase at Tiddenham. My brother now lives on the Tufts at Bream. Any more info you can give would be great.

Cherry Orchard Cottage was the residence of John Earnest Thorn, who was Hirams son, when he died in 1920.

I believe James Joseph Thorn was the child of Alfred, who was Hiram Thorns brother. I believe his mother was Emma.
On the 1871 and 1881 census he is listed as living with his grandparents,
Eliza Williams and Joseph Williams, in Tidenham.

Hiram and Alfreds parents were Samuel Thorn and Jane Hulin. He is listed as staying with Hiram in 1891.

I have associated with my family a James Thorn WILLIAMS who matches the description of: James THORNE abt 1864 Tidenham, Gloucestershire, England Nephew Tidenham, Gloucestershire in the 1891 census. (He died in 1917 at Cherry Orchard Cottage Tidenham.) He is a mystery to me so if you have any information about him I would be pleased to hear from you.

Has anyone any iformation on Emily Thorne. She was my maternal grandmother and I know she died around the time my mother was born in 1900 on the Tufts at Bream. My mother had a twin brother who died also. Any information would be appreciated. Emily Thorne married William Drew and they had two other daughters Gladys and Edith. Emily had sisters, Clara, Louisa, and another.
