Record ID Number

Would the Record ID no help and how would I use it, or this this something you could do for me?

The Record ID Number you see on the Parish Records is a number I have assigned to an individual record and is used in the database.

This number is of little or no use anybody except for myself. It does for instance come in very useful for me if a record needs changing that we have found to have be transcribed incorrectly. We have over half a million transcribed Parish Records and if I know the ID number I can get to the record in a matter of seconds in order to amend the details.
