Yes there are records - on this site you will find some of them

and yes they "should" be in the Full BMD index; however experience seems to suggest that not all are :-)

Do they keep records the same as the church. But I should still be able to find the marriage in the Marriage Reg, on Ancestry.?????

i.e. not Church of England, so Methodist, Baptist etc

Yes it is Albert, I have his birth certificate. It shows mother as Ellen Davis formerly Gardner ,so I assume they were married. Can you tell me what you mean by non-conformist,(not married)?

Hi can any one help, I am trying to find the marriage of Thomas Davis and Ellen Gardner (my grandfather and grandmother). Thomas was born in 1871 in Pillowell and Ellen born 1876 in Gloucester. I have narrowed it down to the years between 1891-1901,as that is when they appear on the census as man and wife. I have gone through 10 years of marriages on Ancestry trying all forms of spelling their surnames but have had no luck. I know they had a son (Willie/William) who was 2 in 1901, so must have been married before then. I have also looked on this site for their marriage but no luck. Can anyone advise me as to where I can look next.
