BROWNINGS who moved to South Wales

I'm trying to piece together the history of several BROWNING families who moved from the Forest of Dean, mainly Awre and Longney to Monmouthshire in the later years of the 1700s.Everything seems to stop when I get into the Forest parishes.
There are several Browning families in Berkeley and surrounds and I suspect this is the origin of the family group prior to their time on the west side of the Severn.. Does anyone have any links that might help?
