My Great Uncle Grantley John Briscoe does not appear on any memorial.
His next of kin - his brother, who lived in Chepstow and was in the war for 3 years after Grantley was killed - failed to complete and return the official form
allowing his information to be used. Grantley enlisted before WW1 and served for some time in Gibraltar in the Royal Garrison Artillery.

Grantley John BRISCOE is not commemorated on War Memorial in the main street in Newnham. "Soldiers Died in The Great War" gives his place of residence as Chepstow, Mon., and that he enlisted at Gloucester. So Chepstow may be the place to look/enquire.
