Simeon and Selina Harris burials (reply)

Hi Harry, thank you so much for information about the Micheldean congregational churchyard, and for popping in to the burial ground.
As S and S were very much "chapel" it is likely that they are down there, but unlikely that there are headstones as there is a "thing" in the family about these; I had done several "wild card" searches but nothing came up.

I have started doing some more research on this, so hopefully may eventually come up with something. Any relevant suggestions always appreciated.

Regards, Celia

Simeon and Selina Harris burials (reply)

Celia,
There are burials of Drybrook people (presumably "chapel") at Mitcheldean Congregational Chapelyard. I called in whilst passing there today. The graves and headstones, as still exist, are in poor condition generally.
I spotted, with inscriptions mentioning Drybrook, Cornelius BRAIN of Quabbs House, and Emmanuel SMITH (the latter does not appear in the Parish records).
Another prominent burial is that of Aaron SIMMONDS, quarry owner of Plump Hill, who does not appear in the Parish Records either.
Wildcard checking the Parish Records there are no burials recorded, as far as I could tell, in the 20th. Century until 1921. So maybe there is a gap in the records for some reason.
Since Simeon and Selina HARRIS do not appear to be buried at Holy Trinity Church, Drybrook Mitcheldean Cong. Chapel might be a possibility. Given the possible gap in the burials records more investigation required though. But a suggestion - dare I suggest?

Simeon and Selina Harris burials

I am unable to find the burials of Simeon and Selina on the Parish Record search. Holy Trinity churchyard, Drybrook is the most likely burial place as they lived in Drybrook; they were Bible Christians.

Simeon died 10 June 1900, and Selina on 5 February 1924.

Most grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction.
Cheers, Celia
