When you obtained the Marriage Certificate of George HAYWARD and Hannah CORNWALL - if George's father's name is John... On the 1851 census with John is a niece named Amy - age 12, born Chedworth.

Looking at Gloucestershirebdm : Amy SMITH HAYWARD - 1838, Northleach, Chedworth - and from the births - HAYWARD, mother's maiden name - SMITH - Northleach, Chedworth, this is the family on the 1851 - giving John's brother Simon HAYWARD born Coln St Dennis. This tree is also on Public Members Tree, Ancestry.

On the 1841 Census, George HAYWARD appears to be living in the High Street, and seems to be working for a Trainer

hannah cornwell born 1821 ledbury married george hayward born1818 got info on hannah cornwell, but i'm not getting any where with george(my great grandparents)..2 daughters were born in gloucester the rest of the family were born in pontypool wales. be very grateful if any one can give anything on george, i've tried every avenue and hit a brick wall.

Hi Linda, welcome to the forum.
Please can you post what other information you do have; I see you've visited the website many times - did you find any relevant PRs ?. I've had a quick look and cannot find any obvious, but there are many possibles to search thro, George was a popular name in the Haywards of Glos it seems, altho looking at the Census on the LDS site suggest they're largely in the Cotswolds area so away from the Forest ??. Of particular use might be their Marriage, do you know when/were that took place, please ?.
I cannot find them as a couple on my Glos 1851 Census, so if you have it that would help too, was he married by then ?

hi can anyone help. i've hit a brick wall. for george hayward c 1821. the 1851. shows he came from glanster gloucester. which i now know became a part of dymock. he married hannah cornwall. her details i've got. the family ended up in south wales.thanks linda
