thanks to everybody for helping me with the hawkins family tree,as for my grandfather james hawkins resting place im just drawing blanks all the time.i have been trying the papers but to no avail if anybody knows any other way i would be very grateful.

i have been in touch with the libary in worcester but they have found nothing in the papers relating to the death of james hawkins in 1885 the one bit of good news i have recieved is from woolcomber65 who tells me that the marrige certificate for his wifes relations was signed by james hawkins and witnessed by ann hawkins at the church in monmouth in 1876,i wonder if the church is still there.it would also seem that there are photos of george street chapel in worcester but they belong to somebody and they are copyrighted.

I have just received the marriage cerificate for my wife's gt-grandparents who were married at the Primitive Methodist Chapel Monmouth in March 1876. What is interesting is that the officiating minister was James Hawkins and one of the witnesses was Ann Hawkins.

There are 2 James Hawkins born at the same time, so I suggest until we have further information from Chieftain, that research stops here for the moment.

My great great grandfather was from the forest of dean,his name is James hawkins,he was born at viney hill in 1835,he became a primitive methodist minister.it would appear his father was a george hawkins who was a proprieter of stone quarries,and thats all i know.i dont have any photos of them or anything,i dont even know my grandfathers mothers name if anybody can help me with this i would be very grateful.
